The Silo was purchased from a local Carson City company that stored resin pellets in it. It is used as a landmark and identifying feature of Buffalo Creek Ranch, from the valley as well as from the air. In the future, once the Warehouse Building is completed (2009), the Silo will remain nestled in the hillside below the Ranch House and directly next to the Warehouse. The Silo is also adjacent to a loop road called Silo Circle, which allows large trucks and trailers to deliver and circle back out of the property toward the lower (319 Jones Lane entrance/exit) without the necessity of backing up or turning around.

A view of Job's Peak looking across the future site of the 60’ x 120’ (7,200 square foot) 2 _ story warehouse. The Buffalo Creek Warehouse building will have a subterranean basement/cellar or dry storage area to keep grapes and fruit protected from the elements. The Silo will be on the westerly side of the building and both sit directly below the Ranch House.

Standing in the backyard of the Ranch House, a northerly view across the warehouse site of the snow covered Carson Valley with the hills that border Carson City in the distance. The two (2) large Jeffrey Pines trees identify the site for the planned three (3) acre fruit orchard (peaches, pears, apricots, cherries and walnuts).
