The Vehicles of Buffalo Creek Ranch:

This fully functioning Dump Truck was the talk of the town on small local ranches back in 1937 when it was first introduced by the Ford Motor Company. Painted in one of the two primary Buffalo Creek Ranch colors, Forest Green, "Tonka Toy" has hauled many a rock and tons of top soil during the course of construction.
Built by the Ford Motor Company in the year David Semas was born, this 1949, 1.5 ton Ford Stake Side Truck runs like a top. It's Flathead engine sounds like it just came off the assembly line. In addition to its delivery duties, "Big Red" is also the main host vehicle at the annual Buffalo Creek Invitational Charity Golf Tournament, benefitting autistic children.
Purchased from the Muscoda, Wisconsin Fire Department, this 1962 Ford Barton American Fire Truck, with less than 5,000 original miles, stands guard to protect the ranch, with its 2,000 Aspens trees. The truck holds 850 gallons of water and can pump 500 gallons per minute from any of the nine ponds or two fire hydrants at Buffalo Creek.
While the Caboose, is not self propelled like the other vehicles of the ranch, it provides just as much speed during "Monday Night Football" and the late night poker games. Ironically, the Caboose was actually commissioned by the BRP in 1923, at the time, better know as the Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh Rail Line.
It's no small coincidence that this Chevy Model 3100 Pickup Truck, painted Chevy Victory Red with 10 coats of lacquer, was built in 1949. "One Fine 49" is fully restored street rod with a 327 Chevy engine, power steering, disc brakes, and air conditioning. During the summer months, it's likely that you'll see David and Susan driving through Genoa, or on the streets of Minden/Gardnerville or on their way to the annual Hot August Nights week in Reno.
"One Fine 49" is painted Chevy Victory Red with 10 coats of lacquer and has the primary Buffalo Creek Ranch logo prominently displayed on both doors. The pickup has chrome accents, running boards, wooden side rails above the side panels and the interior is upholstered red tuck and roll leather.
