In addition to its primary entrance through the Job’s Peak Ranch Development security gates and traveling west on Five Creek Road, Buffalo Creek Ranch can be accessed through it Jones Lane entrance, directly off Foothill Road, although these gates are generally closed, except to construction workers and delivery trucks. The Horse Pasture is to the left or south of this entrance and the Vineyard, which is out of sight of this shot, is to the right or at the north end of the property.

Standing to the right of the entrance along Jones Lane, just off the shoulder of the road looking at the “The Vineyards and Orchards of Buffalo Creek” sign, with the towering Job’s Peak and Job’s Sister in the background.

A view looking due west toward the Kingsbury Grade and Heavenly Valley North Ski Resort. The Jones Lane gates are open and the proposed Vineyard is to the right. The entrance is framed with two 8 foot tall Sequoia Redwood trees.

After passing through the Jones Lane entrance gates, Buffalo Creek Road curves toward the south a follows the Horse Pasture, which is bordered with a 3-rail horse fence and a 24” high dry stacked rock wall. The Aristocratic Flowering Pear trees are just beginning to turn into their fall colors.

The east entrance gates continue the wine barrel theme. If you look closely you can see the water spraying from the Rainbird 65’s, which are irrigating the horse pasture. A large grape crushing vat is pictured in the center of the photo shortly after entering the gates.

The east entrance gate sign and surrounding fence are both made from 2” x 8” T&G cedar planks, held together by 3” metal straps and bolted to 6” x 6” redwood posts. In addition to identifying the property name and address, the sign contains a 24” x 36” rendering of the completed Buffalo Creek Ranch.
